First thing in the morning was to get in a taxi to go to downtown Wilmington to pick up the various equipment that was essential for the trip to Europe, Furtunately it was all there, and loaded I returned to Castle Rock Airport.
After a short flight New York came into sight, and it was a great feeling to see the Manhattan skyline as I approached Teterboro airport, landing on runway 1.
First thing was to pick up my life raft, that I had sent up from Atlanta to have the CO2 bottle filled so the raft again was functional. To bring the raft with the airline from Europe, I had to disarm the raft.
Then in to Manhattan, where my friend Robert Lacy, was waiting in a hotel, He was to join me for the entire trip back to Denmark.
